Have you seen Daniel McKewen’s ‘Faces of Vanity Fair’ which has recently graced the surface of the Creative Industries Precinct billboard at Kelvin Grove?

Maurice Sendak, the creator of Where The Wild Things Are passed away on Tuesday at age 83. Where The Wild Things Are will always keep a place in our hearts and continues to be a delight to children to this day.

“And [he] sailed back over a year
and in and out of weeks
and through a day 
and into the night of his very own room
where he found his supper waiting for him
and it was still hot”

Across dozens of schools in Melbourne’s south-east, teachers regularly inspect children’s exercise books and pencil cases for markings that may resemble tags or graffiti. If they suspect the child is practising a tag, they are reported to the Victorian Police and the suspect artwork is photographed and added to a police database to aid in a future prosecution.
